Privacy policy

We collect only what we need to supply parts and support you:

• Contact details you give us: name, company, email, phone and delivery or billing addresses
• Order, quote and Find My Part history, including any images you attach to a request
• Account credentials, stored as a salted hash; we never see your password
• Payment is handled by our payment providers. We do not store card numbers
• Technical information such as browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working and to improve it

• To price, confirm, ship and invoice your orders and quotes, and to answer your enquiries
• To send transactional email: order and quote confirmations, status changes, invoices and password resets
• To send our newsletter, only if you subscribe. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link
• To meet legal obligations, including tax record keeping

We share information only with the providers needed to fulfil your order: freight carriers, payment processors, our email delivery service and our hosting providers. We do not sell personal information. Where a provider is outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it handles your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie to protect forms against cross-site requests, and local browser storage for your cart and theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You can see and update your profile from your account, or ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing info@sparesconnect.com.au. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
